Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

This statement outlines the actions of The Cartridge People Ltd taken to understand the potential risks modern slavery has to its business and the steps in place to ensure no human trafficking or slavery is involved either in the business itself or its supply chains.

Cartridge People | Financial Year Ending 31 December 2026

Our Commitment

Cartridge People is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains. We act ethically, with integrity and transparency, when it comes to slavery, forced labour, and human trafficking.

This statement outlines the steps we have taken in accordance with section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

About Cartridge People

Cartridge People (The Cartridge People Ltd) is a leading UK online retailer of printer ink, toner cartridges and office supplies. Established in 2001, we supply homes and businesses across the UK and operate from Crewe, Cheshire.

Our Supply Chains

Our supply chains include UK‑based and international suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics partners within the printer consumables and office supplies sector.
We recognise that some global supply chains present a higher risk of modern slavery and take proportionate steps to manage those risks.

Due Diligence and Risk Management

We have procedures in place to identify, prevent, and reduce the risk of modern slavery, including:

  • Assessing suppliers before entering into a business relationship
  • Requiring suppliers to adhere to our Supplier Code of Conduct, covering labour standards, human rights, and ethical working practices
  • Requesting confirmation of compliance with the Modern Slavery Act
  • Carrying out enhanced due diligence where suppliers operate in higher‑risk regions
  • Ongoing supplier monitoring and review

Where non‑compliance is identified, we take appropriate remedial action. Serious or continued breaches will result in termination of the relationship.

Training and Awareness

To support our approach, key employees involved in purchasing and supplier management receive modern slavery awareness training and have completed e-learning certification in 2025. This helps ensure risks are identified early and addressed appropriately.

Ongoing Actions and Future Focus

Over the coming year, we will continue to strengthen our approach by:

  • Ensuring relevant staff complete modern slavery training
  • Reviewing and improving our supplier code of conduct to further raise the standards of our supply base.
  • Re‑confirming supplier compliance with our Supplier Code of Conduct
  • Requesting updated information from suppliers on their policies and procedures
  • Reviewing and updating this statement annually
