Bid on Clarrie-Anne’s Paintings and Help Raise Money for Mind

Throughout October 2020, we offered you an exclusive opportunity to bid on three original watercolour artwork pieces. They have been specially created by Clarrie-Anne, a Cartridge People creative designer, to raise money for Mind and to highlight how painting can have a positive impact on your mental health.

In a month where World Mental Health day takes place (October 10th), Clarrie-Anne produced the below paintings that were bid on throughout October with all the proceeds going to Mind.

The auction has now finished and the paintings are on their way to the winning bidders. Thank you so much to everyone who placed a bid. Find out just how much was raised below.

How Much We Raised From This Auction

We’re delighted to announce that the winning bids for each painting were:

“Patience” – £65 (Philip Secretan)

“Compassion” – £51 (Martin Winn)

“Mindfulness” – £70 (Susan Henderson)

What we decided to do at Cartridge People was look at the total amount of money that was bid on all three of the paintings. Whilst only yourself and two others could receive the paintings themselves through winning the auctions, we still wanted to ensure that Mind were able to receive the maximum donation from this campaign. For that reason, Cartridge People has covered the cost of all of the submitted bids and rounded up to donate an additional £1,000 to Mind and the wonderful work they do.

This, combined with the other winning bids and Clarrie-Anne’s personal fundraising for Mind in early October means that we have raised £1,451 for Mind!

Cartridge People would like to thank everyone who supported this fundraising campaign and we look forward to sharing with you where our winning bidders chose to display their paintings.

Watercolour Painting and Mental Wellbeing

Earlier this year, like so many others all over the country, Clarrie-Anne was working from home. It was during this time that she began to paint more and post her creations on social media. Here at Cartridge People, we couldn’t help but be impressed with her work and so when Clarrie-Anne asked if there was something we could do to raise money for Mind, we were only too happy to help!

We asked if Clarrie-Anne would produce paintings that convey mental health and we’re delighted to offer you the chance to bid on these by using the form below. Please be aware that this is an auction where the amount you enter will be a bid to buy the painting and not an estimate as to the painting’s worth. This auction will be open for the whole of October after which point we’ll get in touch with the highest bidder of each painting and arrange for the collection of the money before sending it in full to Mind so they can continue their excellent work.

Introducing… Clarrie-Anne

clarrie anne

Clarrie-Anne Cooper is a 30 year-old Creative Designer from Whitchurch Shropshire, who has worked for Cartridge People since 2015. This year, she began to create more and more watercolour paintings during lockdown in order to keep exploring her creative side. Clarrie-Anne developed a side project where she produces designs for thetinkan ltd and after lots of positive comments on social media on her paintings, she is now offering prints for sale. Clarrie-Anne approached Cartridge People with the idea of hosting an auction for paintings she would create to convey mental wellbeing. This auction will take place throughout October 2020. Clarrie-Anne turned 30 on October 1st and raised £220 for Mind through a birthday Facebook fundraiser.

“I’m delighted to be able to raise money for Mind by doing something that has helped my mental health this year. With the events of 2020, I don’t think there’s been a more important time to highlight the help and support available to anyone that’s struggling. I hope that everyone likes what I’ve produced and hopefully we can raise money for the charity through the winning bids!”

Mind and World Mental Health Day

mind

Following months of lockdown and the difficulties faced by millions over the course of this year, Mind believes that World Mental Health Day on October 10th is the most important one yet. Mind says: “Making positive change can seem so hard, especially during uncertain times. And sometimes, it can be hard to know where to start. Take the opportunity this World Mental Health Day to find out more about how you can start with one thing.”
