Infographic: Superheroes and the Ultimate Colour Guide



In recent years, there has been a re-emergence of the superhero on cinema and TV screens as audiences have switched between DC and Marvel in what appears to be an ongoing war for hero dominance.

New characters have launched themselves from the comic book page to the big screen and there have been battles played out in movies which may have only previously existed in classroom conversations. Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Captain America, Iron Man; they’ve all catapulted their way into the Zeitgeist. There is now even a demand for a change from the more commonly known heroes and villains with Deadpool and Suicide Squad being two obvious examples.

The relationship between the colour of superheroes and their character traits has been largely unexplained until now. Below, we attempt to highlight the consistencies and the differences that can be found when it comes to choosing the colour cape of a particular crusader.
