What is a buzzword?
A buzzword is a word or phrase, often jargon, that is fashionable at a particular time, or in a particular context.
Corporate buzzwords and phrases are office-specific phrases that you’re likely to hear throughout your day.

Glossary
- Think outside the box – explore ideas that are freely creative, not limited or controlled by tradition or rules. Think of something different!
- Touch base – make brief contact with someone
- Deep dive – a thorough investigation
- Reinvent the wheel – waste time trying to do something that has already been done successfully
- Pivot – fundamentally changing direction when something isn’t working
- Set the wheels in motion – do something to begin a process
- Don’t put all your eggs in one basket – putting all your effort or resources into one thing, risking all success or failure on one thing
- Put a pin in it – holding on to a thought or idea to return to later
- Run it up the flagpole – test the popularity of a new idea
- Move the needle – changing the situation to a noticeable degree
- Bring to the table – contribute something that will be a benefit
- 110% – apply the maximum amount of effort possible, and push yourself even further still
- On the back burner – something temporarily being put aside to focus on more urgent or important things
- Walk before you can run – learn the basics before trying to do something advanced
- On the same page – to agree, or thinking in a similar way about something
- More bang for your buck – to get better value for the effort or money you put in
